I always wondered if the 1le suspension was the same as my WS6. Were they a bit different in some areas? I road in a 1le and for me it felt more cushion. Maybe it was just me thinking this?

The difference between 1le and 96/97 T/A WS6 Susp.?Johnnynsac 12-28-2005, 02:37 PM I always wondered if the 1le suspension was the same as my WS6. Were they a bit different in some areas? Camarocracy 01-27-2006, 09:13 AM The 1LE had progressive rate springs, which where a little taller in length then the WS6/SS springs. They also got durometer bushings for the swabar endlinks, bushings, rear panhard bushings, rear control arm bushings, and a stronger transmission mount. But they do have the same 32mm front swaybar as the WS6 does. All of the 1LE parts [except for the springs] can be purchased through SLP here http://www.slponline.com/browse_list.asp But for the price you would pay for the 1LE parts, you can better aftermarket peices from like BMR, UMI, Spohn, and Hotchkis for the same price, if not cheaper. scottslt1z28 01-28-2006, 07:09 AM they had Koni shocks the shocks where what you were feeling............not like cadillac cushion, but just quick damping right??? like a ///M3 those were the shocks IMO if you want that, go get the Single Adjustable Konis (dont mess with the Double Adjustables) Camarocracy 01-28-2006, 11:33 AM The 1LE's didn't got Koni's, at least not to my knowledge. Maybe you are thinking of the optional SLP Suspension package on the Firehawk and SS models that came with the Koni shocks. 1LE's had revalved DeCarbon shocks. The early 1LE's used a revalved Decarbon. I also believe '93 was the only year that got the 21mm rear sway. For the last few years of production, SLP took over the 1LE package, and it still came with Koni shocks. | ||
