Hey..
Ive just pulled out the old radio from the 86 TransAm and installed a new Sony CD player. Because the old radio was a double DIN (the fat ones) and most CD players are single DIN's, it leaves a gap.
Does anyone out there know of any type of face plate or something like that, which can be purchased to cover the hole??
Any ideas would be great.
Thanks for your time.
David.

Go to any stereo shop that installs, like Circuit City, Best Buy, or what have you. They have adapter kits for your car. Some of them even use that extra space to provide you a spot for a slim EQ. You should have done it first though, cause you're gonna have to unhook it to put the wires through it. No big deal though.

I believe cadilacs are also double din. Could be wrong though.

I'm pretty sure my buddy's 94 'vette is a double din.

As far as I know, no GM vehicle has a double-din radio pod... could be wrong though...

I just wanted to point out that we didn't have a double-din... only a 1.5... which is worthless... because 1 din radios look like crap... and no self-respecting EQ would find itself in that 0.5 extra...
