For the guys running single plane setups, what are you doing for crankcase ventillation? Adapting one to work? Running a vacuum pump (viable on a street car?)? Just looking for some input. Thanks.

Single Plane Guys - PCV QuestionCMoney 12-23-2005, 09:01 PM For the guys running single plane setups, what are you doing for crankcase ventillation? Adapting one to work? Bret atljar 12-23-2005, 10:06 PM I ran a breather in one valve cover, and a push in style PCV valve in the other. From the PCV ran a vacuum line to the intake. I have since switched to just two breathers, i couldnt get the PCV to stop sucking oil. CMoney 12-23-2005, 11:38 PM I ran a breather in one valve cover, and a push in style PCV valve in the other. I was leaning that way, but all the research I've done says that the PCV plays a big role in keeping the oil clean during light throttle conditions. How much oil was your valve cover PCV valve sucking? I wonder if a small oil separator plumbed inline would work... atljar 12-24-2005, 12:29 AM A few thousand miles. I change the oil under 3k miles with synthetic so i never really worried about long term effects. I also ran without any evac system... bad idea. I had tons of moisure build up in the valve covers. As for how much sucking? Not totally sure, but enough to coat the intake. Im sure a seperator or catch can would work, i just never cared to try and find out. I eventually planned to run the stock AIR pump as an ultra cheap vacuum pump, but never got around to that either. David atljar 12-24-2005, 04:40 PM It was the stock baffle on the passenger side SStrokerAce 06-20-2006, 10:09 PM Add on to this post.
