ya theyre tad more since theyre a 2-piece, but theyre nowhere near the price of iforged aero's or HRE 545's. plus i got a little bit of a break on the price since my buddy is friends with the Intro rep.
slayer6x6 12-22-2005, 07:29 PM When are you going to mount them on the car? I wanna see some pics!!!
i RoC U 12-22-2005, 08:04 PM hopefully during boxing week my friend will get a chance to mount my Nittos at his shop. 275/45 555's up front and 315/35 555R's out back. ill post pics ASAP.

i RoC U 12-23-2005, 07:02 PM Got any pics of the rest of the car?
none that i want to post lol. the car was in mint shape until it got vandalized just over a year ago. right now its got no gfx and its keyed all to hell. i havent used my insurance claim yet to paint it since i wanted to finish everything else first and get it painted last. so i have no pics of it as it currently sits. maybe ill take some when i mount my wheels/tires.
2000GTP 12-23-2005, 10:19 PM Pretty sweet setup you have going so far.:thumb:
DiabloGT 12-23-2005, 11:47 PM how much was the total???
i RoC U 12-24-2005, 01:11 PM how much was the total???
for the wheels? i paid $1600 US before tax. came to just under $2000 CDN. i got a hookup on shipping so i paid just over $2000 CDN after taxes. the Wilwoods ive got on all 4 corners were a tad more ;)
Pretty sweet setup you have going so far

hehe if i could i would, but they dont really do discounts. my mechanic is friends with an Intro rep and all he could do for me was $50 off MSRP. i think those wheels retail for $1650 a set on their site so i didnt really save that much. just on shipping really and that was through a separate hookup i have here.
neil350 12-25-2005, 02:39 PM Looks awesome, the car looks like its going to turn out really nice!
spitfire 12-25-2005, 04:53 PM Dude, awesome, now the questions start. I'm building an '89 GTA with a destroked screamer :D Should be fun. I'm also going to be running 18x10.5 rears and 17X9.5 fronts. Now, what kind of backspacing are you running on your rears, are you running spacers? and the same question for the fronts?

no spacers. since theyre custom wheels, i had them built to the specs i wanted. i have 6.5" of backspacing on the rears and 5.5" for the fronts. normally i would have had to get more backspacing on the rears to tuck them under the wheel wells (i HATE when tires stick out of the wheel wells in the back), but when Currie built my rearend i had them make the housing an inch shorter on each side. in other words, since my rearend (from disc to disc) is shorter by 2 inches, i didnt have to get my wheels built with as much backspacing (an inch less on each). you might need a little bit more than 6.5" of bs per wheel if you run 17x11's and want them to tuck under nicely. and remember my rears are 17's. the fact that yours are 18's may require different backspacing in order to get them to fit. i dont know any guys with 18x10.5 on a 3rd gen. 17x11's are the biggest ive seen (without chopping into the body/frame) and even then most guys have to roll the fender lip and take a sledgehammer to the inner wheel well. hope that helps a bit.
chuckys95 12-26-2005, 12:22 PM Yeah,
Iforged and Intro are made in the same facility (actually both owned by Intro)
The Intro "sport" is a less expensive model of the Iforged "aero"
My 19/20 Iforged "aeros" came in Intro boxes.
lookin good man !:thumb:

Awesome man, I appreciate your help, and I'm like you, I hate tires sticking out also. Which is why i'm putting so much though/work into this. I want the maximum amount of width without sticking out. I'm prepared to cut out the fenderwell if I have to, It's going to be a track car with a few weekend days on the street. It should be fun :D But it looks like I just might be going with ths same company as you, seeing as how the only 18X10.5 wheels I can find are either Z06 wheels, C5's, or ZR1's. And I'm not a big fan of any of them.
