I am looking for a budget nitrous kit and would like to keep the costs down. Would it be ok not to run a bottle heater? How much pressure will I see without one? It gets up to 115 here in the summer so I would think that it it would be fine in the summer, but it might be too cold in the winter.

You would problly be fine in the summer with out one...but if it gets to be like 40-50 youll wish you had one...makes a difference...youll get more use out of it with heater but will still be good...

One of the nitrous companies makes a bottle heater that is called "Fire & Ice" because it heats AND cools in order to maintain a consistant temperature and therefore a consistant pressure.
The idea being that creating a consistancy of pressure will create a consistancy of HP and thus a more predictable ET.
That right there should give you some insight into the answer to your question.
Or to put it differently; how important is it to you that your ET be dead-nuts consistant?

Because the winter is the best time to race in Arizona. Do you think we get good times when it is 115 degress outside? Consistency is not a big thing for me right now as I do not bracket race. I care more about saving the engine, but I would like to get a decent hit when I use the nitrous. I have seen nitrous bottle blankets for 25 bucks and that might atleast keep the bottle from getting too cold.

I think he's forgetting that winter in Pa isn't like winter in AZ;)

yeah, I was stationed at Ft Hood and I remember when those temps dipped below 50 and everyone was wearing thermal undies, sweats and a coat thinking it was a new ice age. and me being from MI I was in jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt.
anyway the bottle heater would help you stay consistent so you know how much timing to pull if any when you hit the juice.

Its crazy here this year. It was 80 degrees today.LOL
However I think our winters are worse than up north when it is cold. Im talking about the chill factor.Or cold is wet and humid. This makes it painful. When I go to Idaho for christmas most every year. I enjoy the cold.Down here I hate it.
