Holley Throttle Body W/ Nitrous inlet - Anyone try this?
Holley Throttle Body W/ Nitrous inlet - Anyone try this?
Hey guys,
Im a little new to the Nitrous scene and would like some input from people that have experience with this. Im trying to rule out the cardinal mistakes before I start my engine rebuild and new set up.
I would like any input on the use of the Holley TB with the Nitrous inlet on the side. Has anyone tried this on there cars? Inherent lean conditions? Rich conditions? Nitrous not mixing well enough before entering the intake ports?
Im a little concerned since most people seem to inject Nitrous further upstream in the intake rather than the Throttle Body. Has anyone witnessed any problems or successful usage with this Throttle Body?
This question may seem a little "newbie like" but is this Holley TB a dry system or can it be used as a wet system?
I plan on running a 100 to 150 shot on a mildly modified LT1. 355, CC305, LE1 heads, shorty headers, ect. I live in California and trying to keep this car smog legal and run 11's.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Doug 95Z

Re: Holley Throttle Body W/ Nitrous inlet - Anyone try this?
I think its a cool idea but i am definately not a fan of DRY N2O systems, wet is safer..now if you are using a dfi system(digital fuel inj.)you can run a big inj.size with the dry system and have enough fuel enrichment to be safe...
Re: Holley Throttle Body W/ Nitrous inlet - Anyone try this?
Im looking to run a wet system for safety reasons. Im not sure if the Holley TB is designed to run as a wet system.
Does anyone have real world experience with this product?
Thanks again for any input.

Re: Holley Throttle Body W/ Nitrous inlet - Anyone try this?
Well, I just checked the web site for Holley and confirmed that their throttle body is made for a dry system. Definately not the way I want to go.
Looks like I will go with the Nitrous Express system and shark nossle.
Thanks for the input.
