Nevermind, had to remove the picture, sorry.
So for fun i photoshopped a 3rd gen grill on there and it looks alot more overall like a 3rd gen with just this simple piece in the middle of the grill, anyone else think so? I wasnt worried about proportions or anything as it was just for fun. For the record I like the original concept, I have a '67, but I did this because I thought maybe some folks could see theres more 3rd gen in there than may be easily noticeable, at least I seem to think so.

not bad but something doesn' work here.

What grill? Thats not a gril you put on.

The grill was below that and had "Camaro" or a red bow tie on it.

Actually if you made the Middle "Fill In" shorter (narrow) and added a second set of headlights It would look cool.

I still believe a late model third gen in good shape is the best looking Camaro ever even though I may own a 4th or 5th.

91-92 Z28s are my all time favorite Camaro.

That, or the first 4th gens. Both stood out very well in their period, and the 4th gen was a perfect evolution of the 3rd gen. How I would have loved to see what the designers could have done with yet another evolution ...

Well you know what I meant 305fan, same difference, I filled in the grill to make it look like a 3rd gen.

So that's why you chose that name!! :p

Oh..yeah, need a comment of substance...Make the headlight insets longer to add a second set of headlights. Make the grill a little taller.

That and the fact that I own one. 62k miles too, there is a video of it in my sig.

Well I didnt want to change anything, I just wanted to add a piece to the middle as if it were an aftermarket piece to fill in the space to make it look like a 3rd gen, and to show that it looks more like a 3rd gen than some think, at least I noticed that, but maybe thats just me.

When I heard it would be retro, but not specifically 1st gen I had my hopes up for a thirdgenesque car. It would probably have been a good idea, the Camaro was THE car of the 80s, at least the IROC was. It sold like a son of a bitch too. I'm sure that was the last era the F body was a highly profitable platform. Also, people who grew up loving those cars are probably 30-somethings now with more than enough cash to buy a new car. I think it would have been a decent idea.

no offense, but that looks like a mid 80s dodge daytona or something more than a third gen...fugly

Sorry but I think that fascia makes the car look even "older" than the original one does. Something has to be done to break up the huge gap between headlights.

AS oprevious owner of a 3rd gen, as much as I loved that car, I hated the miniscule air opening. That car ran so hot out here in Denver. Gimme nice LARGE air inlets for the radiator please.

Interesting...the center crease is a little too vertical, and the headlight bezels need to be wider, like a dual headlight set up, or headlight / amber marker light combo.

You didn't have to do that for me to see a whole lot of 3rd gen in the nose. I see 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen styling cues throughout. :D

The car seems to have some similarity to an 80s style Monte Carlo SS in the front now.:D

If I photochop the concept into a GTO will it be removed also? And why?

I just made a cool photchop of the 5th gen with the Lucerne vent. Too bad I can't show it. :(

once you photochop the concept it is no longer a Camaro IMO. I guess now you can't show some other concepts that just have the basic shape of the Camaro.
