LS1 driveshaft with LT1 slipyoke... is this a problem?

i put a LT1 slipyoke on a LS1 driveshaft - is there anything particularly wrong with this?

Yes....I believe the LT1 slip yoke is shorter, or it could be longer....I do know that the size is different though.

its longer - i put the stock slipyoke in my z28 with my spec stage 3 clutch.... i cracked the slipyoke inside of like 8,000 miles....

i may just buy a 1LE aluminum driveshaft.... are those supposed to be strong?

No, they're pretty weak....go aftermarket. Denny's and Spohn make excellent driveshafts.
