97formula1234 12-08-2005, 02:26 PM Or are they gona to just make the camaro at first.
How has it gone in the past?
If their is gona be a T/A i going to start a savings account for my down payment now!
jg95z28 12-08-2005, 02:28 PM Firebird is dead.
slayerxxx213 12-08-2005, 02:29 PM Well, GM has said that there will be no Firebird for a long time at best. I wouldn't expect to see one anytime soon...I wish they would bring it back though, but then again, how would they top the design of the '98-'02 TA's??? I'm not sure that would be possible...
SNEAKY NEIL 12-08-2005, 02:35 PM Well, with the retro Camaro comming out, it seems to make a better case for a modern Firebird to sell along side each other while not appearing to be "twins". I would definatly be all for that and by golly, it would make some sense too.
DrewSG 12-08-2005, 02:38 PM Someone said something about there being two RWD/V8 coupes (not Sedan) at NAIAS? The Camaro and something else? Interesting.
Capn Pete 12-08-2005, 02:43 PM I heard it could be Chevelle .
But Firebird would make me wet myself!! :D

The easy guess to this, IMO, is the next gen GTO...

I heard the second would be a Buick.
Chrome383Z 12-08-2005, 02:49 PM I'm putting my money on the next gen GTO as well.
grossesexy 12-08-2005, 02:51 PM I would say the odds of there being a new Firebird are about as good as me being a 5'2 korean woman.
Those aren't very good odds by the way.
RussStang 12-08-2005, 02:53 PM It could be possible. Alot of stuff has been happening in the auto world that people never really thought would. I woudn't dismiss the idea entirely.
stars1010 12-08-2005, 03:22 PM The Firebird is dead. PERIOD!
The other car is suppose to be a Buick!
Gripenfelter 12-08-2005, 04:14 PM Didn't Lutz say "we're working on it" the last time someone asked him about the Firebird?
V8 Slayer 12-08-2005, 04:41 PM Didn't Lutz say "we're working on it" the last time someone asked him about the Firebird?
Thats what I heard too..
94Camaro_Z_28 12-08-2005, 04:41 PM ^Rumor has it....not confirmed from what I hear, but my fingers are crossed.
HAZ-Matt 12-08-2005, 07:02 PM Well with all the crazy stuff Bob Lutz says, you can never really be sure can you?
buzz12586 12-08-2005, 07:15 PM Could the Buick possibly be a Grand National type deal????
NikiVee 12-08-2005, 07:23 PM Here is what I was told a few months ago. Now this may be true or it may not be so just take it with a grain of salt please.
Next gen GTO concept at NAIAS along with a Sunfire replacement for Pontiac.
Also a few months ago in one of the issues of "Pontiac Performance", a magazine put out by GM/Pontiac for owners, there was made mention about a "mystery" Pontiac being worked on.

Was this the same source who was telling you 6 months ago that Camaro was dead and never to return?
Capn Pete 12-08-2005, 10:34 PM Well, since they did such a good job keeping the lid on the Camaro concept ..... ..... "maybe" they'll KEEP the lid on the "secret" concept and we'll find out at the show??;)
But again, I'll need a towel quickly if it's a Firebird!!!
