What'd going on here??

I thought this was SHUNED upon to be circulating this. GM was threatening to press charges to anyone distibuting these pics. I posted a large annoucement on our board to ban anyone who asks to have pics sent to them in public or display them. I've now gotten angry members who have been banned because they refuse to adhere to my warnings and LOOK what I find now???

We are now all of a sudden ALLOWED to??? All this hype for nothing? I lost members on the msgboard FOR NOTHING?? I am NOT happy right now.

GM Security called off the dogs on the websites as the damage was already done....this was done yesterday, late....they're still hunting down the internal leaker though.......

Anyway when GM realized they couldn't control it(duh) they went with it. :rolleyes:

GM can cry me a river. If they don't actively listen to people's ideas on the camaro message board then they shouldn't suddenly care when those same boards have pics.

I call BS on this. I don't think GM is that pissed, or even pissed at all. If they were, I would think that under NO circumstanses would they allow any pics like these to be posted. I still think that these images are not what will be shown in a month. The leak with the C6 caused a much bigger stir and that was after all of the spy shots and the knowledge that the car would be out very soon anyway.

When GM threaten webmasters to anyone helping to distribute these, I put a stop to it out of respect for GM and my website.

Once the pictures were leaked GM should've rolled with it and tried to create something positive out of it. If pics get posted on the internet it is impossible to control. Why create badwill?

Once pics are leaked there is nothing GM can do to stop it. By the time they get an injunction the pics are all over the web.
It's like the RIAA trying to stop file swapping.
I say let them threaten. I want to see a judge rule against them
