hi my fuel pump went on my z28 about 6 months ago i havent had time installing it. so i just bought a 255lph walbro fuel pump. Does anybody know a good repitable mechanic here that can put it in my car and how much u thin it is to install it. i want to go to a good camaro mechanic please let me know give me the number here or email me please at pureformbonsai@yahoo.com. if i dont find a good mechanic i will not fix it then i will just put the car for sale for 6000 dollars, includes full stereo system,custom box with 2 twelves, 19 inch staggered hp evo rims front is 245-35-19 and rear 275-30-19 only 50 miles on it till pump died, full flowmaster exhaust, all new suspension from eibach and lowered 1.8 inches, air foil, kn filter, nice wing, new red top battery,fully syntethic oil from royal purple in engine oil, transmission oil and rear end. this is a 93 z28 red and black only 71,000 miles original only 6,000 miles a year and when i bought the car i did all this and only drove 3000 miles this year, oh and there is a viper alarm on it. and i have another set of 15 inch rims with tires that only have 100 miles on them cause i decided to put the 19's on it. the car is mechanically perfect minus the fuel pump. just the system and the rims costed me 3,000 dollars and i only used it 50 miles before my pump died. im giving the car away i should be selling it for 9,000 cause in the nada guides the car is worth 6,000 without the rims and system and all the upgrades, selling only cause im moving to where all the snow is. if not sold will take and save it then fix it so let me know. i got pics i can send. if u dont want the rims and system then the car will be sold for 5000 make ur choice.

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but modified cars do not typically sell for the blue book value of the car plus the value of the mods. More than likely, it will sell for something closer the value of the car minus the value of the mods.

You'll find the occasional buyer who is willing to pay the larger amount, but it's rare, and it usually only applies when the car is being purchased as a dedicated race car. Since your car isn't race prepped, that doesn't apply here.

Since I think you're not likely to get a good price for it, I think you should fix it yourself, or find a buddy to help you do it. There are lots of guys on these forums in the Miami area, and I'm sure at least one of them has changed a 4th-gen fuel pump before. Ask in the Florida forums.

 

i am asking below book value, 6000 is fair and nothing is modified all i did was put all new suspension and exaust and the mileage is low, if someone was to go and put a system and rims like mine they would be out 3,000 that means im selling the car for only 3000 dollars now that is a joke, cause cars like mine without the system and rims go for easy 5000 dollars and u need to agree
