4L60E from LS1 and LT1 much different?

Well, I've got a built 4L60E in my LT1 right now and am switching to a LS1 engine/harness. Do LS1 trannies work in the same way that the LT1 trannies do? Can I just hook it up wo the LS1 harness and expect it to work? Or do I have to repin the connector? I just want to make sure.
I've got a custom convertor built that'll allow the use of a 700R4 with an LS1 but the 700R4 I have is busted. I'd rather use the LT1 4L60E than rebuild the 700R4 'cos I can tune it easier and don't have to bother with modifying the throttle braket to accept the 700R4 cable.

Thanks in advance.

How can you be switching to an LS1 harness and why?

I think he meant engine and harness. I know they don't bolt in perfect, but from an article I read the gen II transmision will bolt up but you will be missing one bolt. I'm sure Shoe Box can help you out more once he figures out that your swapping in an LS1 with the stock harness.

Yeah, I mean engine and harness. I've looked at the connector views and they seem about the same on both LS1s and LT1s so I'm assuming the LS1 PCM will control the LT1 tranny just fine like it should. What you think?

OK for your tranny question, No it will not work... Even if you bolted it up and didn't care about not having all the bolts holding the tranny to the motor. the electronic controls in you 94 are different from all years above it. The 94 has an on-off tcc solenoid, the 95 and newer use pwm (pulse width modulated) signal to run the tcc apply.

also the ls1 torque converter bolt pattern is different than older auto's, and the crankshaft spacing in different, there is a crank adapter availible though, im using one on my beater project to connect a turbo 350 trans to a chevy 5.3 engine(same set up as an ls1 engine)
