LT4 pressure plate?Colin91Z 12-06-2005, 04:44 PM What is the difference from a stock LT1 pp? How can you tell the difference visually between the two? blackztpi 12-06-2005, 11:58 PM lt4 has more holding power. the lt4 pressure plate is typically used by most aftermarket lt1 clutch makers. visually, i'm not sure excactly on what to look for, but i hear there is a visual difference IllusionalTA 12-07-2005, 09:13 AM The finger's are diff.. on a LT4 they're kinda flat and on a Lt1 they have a ridge in the center.. FWIW All Spec Clutches use the Lt4 pp and i know autozone clutches use them as well... Colin91Z 12-07-2005, 04:26 PM Ok thanks, I was trying to figure out what my pressure plate was for sure. I know it is a replacement from a parts store, trouble is I dont know which parts store. It says Valeo on it of course, (I'm sure they all do) I think it might be an LT4 pp because the fingers are flat with no ridge in the center. Its fairly new and seems to be in excellent shape so I am thinking of reusing it with an upgraded disc (and changing the TO bearing too of course) wrd1972 12-11-2005, 01:20 PM Here are some photos: http://www.MyOnlineImages.com/Members/wrd1972/images/Picture%20078.jpg The only differences are the diagphram spring fingers. The cases are the same. Colin91Z 12-12-2005, 05:32 PM Thanks for the picture, it was truly worth 1000 words  After seeing that, I can say 100% for sure that mine is an LT4 PP :D I'll be checking back with you to see how well you like that new disc, I might just end up with the same setup as your car...thanks again  | ||
