Got an LT1 thats got a 220/230 114lsa, full bolt ons including some LE2 equivalent ported LT1 heads. Going to run a powerdyne, which I already own, at about 6-7 psi with an alky injection kit, no intercooler. What size injectors am I going to need?

I have a similar set up; Bryan (PCMforLess) recommended 42 lb SVO injectors for my application. You can get 'em new on EBay for about $250 shipped. They are supposedly good to about 600 hp. Here's a link to the calculations page:

yeah i tried that last time and got an error message. Wasnt sure if it was my fault or what. How do you get V.E.? And since I dont have a dyno chart, how do ya know where your max torque is? Maybe i missed something, ill try again.

I just use the basic well known formula:
Injector size = (HP X BSFC) / (8 X duty cycle)
For a blower car, the BSFC is supposed to be about 0.55 to 0.60.
So, assuming 600 HP, a BSFC of 0.55, and an 80% duty cycle:
Injector size = 51.5 lbs/hr
You can increase the power potential of an injector by increasing the fuel pressure.
You are not supposed to run an injector over 80% duty cycle or it could overheat and fail.

Thanks a lot for that info, looks like 42 lb'rs should work just great and no risk of overworking them. Im assuming I am going to need a better fuel pump to run these though. Is there a pro/con to adding an inline pump to installing a better unit in the tank and tossing the stock'r or what?

Yeah, the inline pumps are noisy and they're only good at increasing pressure, not volume.

I'm assuming that the HP variable should be based upon flywheel power, correct? Also, would it be better to figure the duty cycle at 75% or so as to be safe?

Yes, flywheel hp. 80% is the safe standard usually. :)
