John Lingenfelter seriously injured

when he crashed during am elimination run at Summit Sport Compact Nationals in Pomona CA Sunday. His Cavilier ran 6.99 in qualifying to take the #1 position in Pro. He is in intensive care on a ventalator because of a collapsed lung and has many other injuries.
My thoughts and prayers are out to him and I wish him a speedy recovery. JT

Thats sucks. It is never good to hear about anyone who wrecked. I didn't think that he drove the car anymore.

Hopefully he recovers soon.

John is in critical but stable condition and will undergo surgery today at Pomona Valley Hospital so doctors can fully determine the extent of his injuries to better treat him.

Hope he gets better. Just adds to the case against drag racing front-drivers.

Oh please. Don't turn this into an anti-rice rant. Because nobody gets injured in rear-drive drag cars, right?

Hope he makes a quick and full recovery.

Johns one of the allTime "Good Guys" out there, god speed his recovery.

The cav John wrecked that runs in the six's is a rear drive conversion. The front drive cav's run in the eights!

Unhappy

My prayers goes out to him and his family. Mr Lingenfelter has never stopped driving. He is just hard to keep track of because he is involved in so many different areas of racing. He has been into the import racing for several years now. He was running a truck for Sumit for about 3 seasons. This season and last season I saw he was running a couple of Caviliers and several trucks. He is running a v8 truck and a 6 cyl truck and a 4 cyl truck. He also was racing a v8 Cavilier and a 6 cylinder. As everyone knows he has the company where he does the Fbodys, Corvettes and Vipers. He has his hands in alot of pots. I hope he gets well soon because I have nothing but good thinks to say about him and the parts I have purchased from him. With his parts I took a mid 15 second IROC and turned it into a high 12.9 car.
I pray he will get well as fast as he drives. Your the man John.
