My Pacesetter Longtubes are RUSTING!

I bought my pacesetter longtubes, ceramic coated, earlier this summer. My car has been sitting in the barn for about a month now due to winter. I popped open the hood and I seen little spots of rust here and there. I then looked under the car and it was even worse!! I took steel wool and got most of it off, but I never would of thought they would be rusting ALREADY!

I soaked them in WD-40 even though it will burn off when I start it in the future...

Anybody have any tips? The barn is cemented.

people seem to like the LT's, I had the shorties on my LT1 before the LT versions came out and the quality was GARBAGE, and the Y pipe they came w/ wasnt even close to fitting...so I wouldnt doubt it, guess thats why there so cheap...I think they have there own coating armor something ? Probably the cheapest **** money can buy

It seems some people have been fortunate and their "armor coating" has held up and others not so fortunate and their headers already began rusting in the first year. I don't know if mine have rusted yet, the car is in storage and haven't popped the hood in at least a month now... To be honest, I am afraid to look, especially after the nightmare involved in getting them in and then getting the car to pass emissions.

the rust on mine really seemed to take off when I put the car away for winter. I cleaned the rust off best i could and shot them down with oil. Hopefully that will help some. Overall, im not to impressed with these headers. Performance wise their great... But the quality stinks. I like to keep everything on my car really clean, so I have never mistreated these headers..

It seems that the coatings will just make the headers last longer it won,t completely keep the headers rust free forever.
My Jet Hot coated Hooker LTs have been on the car for about 3 years and have about 27k on them. They have quite a bit of surface rust, especially on the bottom. No way around it but a coating will help the headers last a hell of alot longer than with no coating.
