Can anybody tell me if it is possible to get the heads off a studded block while it's still in the car. Mine is a 95 TA. Thanks. :D

Yes,
They will come right off with the studs in the block.

With the new studs you can also pull the studs off with an Allen wrench. Then the heads can come off without any clearance issues.

Hugh, are those ARP studs?

Hugh, are those ARP studs?

Yup. It should have a hole on top of the stud for an allen wrench to go in.
Always always always put the proper thread sealant for the ARP head studs!! :)

cheers

Thanks again - that's a good improvement. I have the ARP thread sealer.

I always have a problem of whose torque specs to use. There's GM, ARP, AFR, & sometimes gasket maker. What does everybody else do? I'm going with the Cometic gaskets this time.
