Tried to sell my Z-28 Vert M-6 w/15k original one owner miles on this site, auto trader, local paper, etc.,etc for 4 months with only one call. Would have taken $13,500 for this pristine machine. I thought it was just the economy until I decided to sell my Subie STI instead. I had buyers w/cash blowing up my e-mail the first day I had it advertised. $27,000 was cream cheese to get. What is up with people and F bodies. An STI is worth 14-16k more than a sweet F-body? Yea right!! I don't think so but apparantly a lot of people with cash do. It is a sad day in America but a happy one for me. Thank you people for not recognizing a great deal on a Camaro and allowing me to re-kindle my love affair for this AMERICAN beauty. I'm gonna drive her like I stole her and then give the prospective Camaro buyers the $8-9K POS that seems to be what most want. Richard.

Perhaps, if you posted your ride in the "For Sale" section instead of the "Cars Wanted" section, you would get a larger response.

You should enjoy your car but, you should also consider history. You could have kept your sti but, what do you really think that will be worth in 12 more years??? Now look at current trends regarding the Camaro. In '69 dealers were unable to sell ZL-1s, COPOs, and Yenkos.
In '74 I purchased an SS RS L89 JL8 car for the paltry sum of $2,225.00. (I was offered 30x that this year.) I have seen many cars over the years that I passed up for various reasons. Most notably would be an original Yenko Camaro available at the same time as my SS. That car sat on the lot for $4,900.00; I do not know what it actually sold for but I am sure that it was less than that. There are many people in this forum thrashing their car today and will wish to have that back when they are older. I can only say that you saved the right car! It just may not seem like that all of the time. You do not need to wreck the car to have fun with it. In twenty years when you take that car to a show there will be 30 old guys pointing at your car and telling their kids that they had one just like that. Over the years I have contemplated selling some of my toys but seldom do. I really enjoy it when people enjoy what I have saved. good luck and have fun.
