Cool 9.93 Timeslip!

I made a 9.93 pass on Saturday at Atco in my Nova. Here's a picture of my timeslip - right lane. Oh, and disregard the reaction time. I was simply going for the 9 second pass...

Re: 9.93 Timeslip!

very nice. would have loved to seen the look on the other drivers face as you crossed the line, got a coffee and took a nap before he finished

i like the "disregard the reaction time" too but hey, i guess you're allowed if you make a 9 second run. congrats. faster than rick i take it?

Yup - faster than him. His best time in my car and his car is a 10.teen. Although, he may have gotten himself a ride in a 7.30 dragster next year.

CONGRATS JAX You do have a little weight advantage over Rick. I'll give you guys a call later this week. I may borrow a few pieces from the Monte to run the winter gamblers races. I don't know if Linda will let me hang out at the track with such a fast woman. Hey I didn't call you girley girl that time .

Re: 9.93 Timeslip!

I was definitely sleeping. My winter project is to work on getting my routine down - from the moment I drive through the wall to the moment I turn off the end of the track. I'm still working in getting the burnout right with RPM's and shift points and all that jazz. And, I'm slow at bumping in to stage. I also have mental issues about feeling rushed. I need to figure out how to get over those and understand that I'm entitled to be comfortable with my burnout and staging routine. I just don't know how though.

Seat time is all you need. It will start to slow down for ya. Put 20 passes on the car and you'll feel nice and cozy, ready to mow 'em down.

Nah,,, I was just joking with you. Kazman is right. Just practice that's all.

Here's an idea: Just drive up and down the street and practice your burnouts and Launches about 4-5 hours a day. If the neighbors complain, then just drive over to 97TAs place. His neighbors won't mind at all!
Right Ron???

I dunno about the neighbors. I can't hear them over the exhaust. Hmmmm. Now that I think about it, maybe they weren't cheering me on my 60' launches. Oh well.

In the spring no one will be around as they are all involved with their kids and spring baseball. It makes it easier for friends like John to figure out where I live. Bahahahahahaha....

See, when you go first, everybody runs to get their camera's and camcorders. That's why there's no evidence of me doing the first one... it's just all hearsay. Bahahahaha....

Even funnier when the township had to come out a repave the street a few weeks later. :roflmao:

Anyways...
Jackie wants a tree / 60' launch practice, not hollywood smokey burnout practice.
Check this out: drag racing tree simulator

There you go Jax, something to fire up your mental drag racing state of mind. Thanks Brian, I may have to deal with her (in the other lane) next season.
