Advise me, Turbo Oil feed line size..
Advise me, Turbo Oil feed line size..
Hey all,
I am running my feed and return lines on the turbo and am comfortable with my -12AN return gravity feed straight down and 45'd into the timing chain cover above the oil pan mating surface, but would like some input on what size feed line you are running from the oil filter adapter auxiliary port to the turbo, I have a 6' length of stainless steel 3/16" hard brake line and fittings for a direct connection to the turbo and adapter port, is this large enough? please advise.

Re: Advise me, Turbo Oil feed line size..
great news, -3AN is equivelant to 3/16" hardline.. just learned some about comparing hardline and AN line, for those interested, the -Xan stand for 1/16's of an inch so -4an is equal to 4/16" OD hardline or 1/4" OD hardline, so for oil feed if a -3an is recommended, a 3/16" SS brake Hard line can be used with likely better flow characteristics from the ID of the hard metal line having less of a drag coefficient. just some tidbits of information!
