Happy owner of an Audi

Finally got the car I've been wanting for 2 years .. 2001 Audi A4, quattro, 2.8L V6 5 speed. Navy blue with cream leather...


Seat heaters
soft suspension
no wheel spin
real headlights
real brakes
no rattles or cracks
real leather
quiet inside and out
stock as the day it came
looking forward to driving in rain and snow


I LOVE IT.

Nice car.. I always liked the Audi's especially the interior. Although I'm a little skittish on repairs and maintenance costs that can pop up down the road... Hopefully the previous owner worked them all out!

It is nice to switch out of a Camaro and drive something quiet and comfortable..

oh i forgot to mention .. bumper to bumper warranty for another 2 years / 40,000 Ks . :cool:

Nice car man! How long before you mod it? I know nothing about A4s. Is it N/A or can you turn up the boost?

I myself am too stupid to learn and I'm still playing with camaros...this one is a little different though :D

I must be getting old. because I really hate driving sports cars now unless it's just a casual drive in the afternoon. I would not drive anything else other then a 4 door automatic car/Suv for everyday driving.

Its bone stock, and will not be modded .. I don't know what it'll do in the 1/4 and I dont care .. its not a race car.. its a luxury sedan. People put superchargers (Eaton roots style) on these and get 290 hp out of them .. or if you get the S4 (same car, with twin turbos) you do trubo / intercooler swaps and get upwards of 500 hp .. but i couldnt care less .. a fast car for me will always be a V8 .. none of this turbo / supercharger trickery ..

and mike.. you would still lose a race to the Audi between traffic lights ;) sit there and spin 'em while i launch with my quattro system ;)

La vie en francais is gay. Anyway, the snow has already started here and my bird has been put away for awhile now. I wasn't able to get inspected yet and switch the plates. Oh well there's always next summer. All I can say is thank God for no AIR CARE! :bow:

Im going the BMW route myself. The 99-04 330i's are commin down in price...low k's rwd. heated side mirrors n heated leather seats. inline 6cyl. not a bad ride...

Might haveta sell my camaro to do it... as much as id hate it...

60L tank, 420 km all city, 550 all highway, 91 octane minimum ! its about the same as a bone stock Fbody actually .. mind you none of my Fbodies ever got anything close to those numbers :rolleyes:

Thats pretty brutal, I got that when my TA was bone stock

Now I get 320-350 to a tank with a huge cam, 58L tank mind you.

German cars just suck for Gas milage, sorry to say, but asside from their interiors, they suck.

See the new Benz commercial? Embarrasing, "the all new Mercedes (some model that looks like the rest inside out) with an amazing 268HP and 25mpg highway"

At that point I started laughing and tea came out of my nose, when a C6 vette with 420HP is getting 34mpg on a pushrod, Benz is advertising their 25mpg highway gas milage, they should be embarrased, our cars were rated at that from factory and had more power and are 12 years old for some.

Germans figure if they stick more cams in those things they will be better.

I guess they are, and all the BMW owners are switching over to LS1's for now reason :rolleyes:

You both have new cars you are happy with, so lets leave it at that. This site is camaroz28.com, so lets not argue about our non f-body cars on an f-body site.

F-bodies offer a great platform, but I don't think anyone could argue the fact that covettes and foreign luxury cars offer things that a camaro or trans am never could.

In a perfect world, we would all drive f-bodies beacuse GM would still be making them and we wouldn't have to look elsewhere for our vehicles. But they don't, so it's ok to drive something else. Now lets all just get along ;)
