Re: turbovette update pics 11-9-2005
That is a very nice looking system. The car should fly for sure. I know it's a work in progress and you may have already thought of it but I'll mention it anyway. You may want to think of making a heat shield between the exhaust side of the turbo and your A-arm. It will get hot enough around there to melt poly or rubber bushings. Grand Nationals had the same problem if the down pipe got to close to the A-arms but a simple heat shield took care of the problem.
Good Luck and thanks for the post and photos, it should be a real trick ride

Re: turbovette update pics 11-9-2005
I am planning on shielding where necessary, I will use formed aluminum plating covered with reflective Heat shield to help keep it clean looking and do its job, but thanks for the info, that's why I post, I am open for suggestions and criticism.

Re: turbovette update pics 11-9-2005
Opti delete? You can completly remove it? Or still use the low res signal like a FAST system? If so is the dual synch distributor readily available, with instructions on how to delete the opti? Does the GEN 7 have the ability to run a 4L60E like a FAST system?
Thanks
David
Thanks

Re: turbovette update pics 11-9-2005
to be honest, I have never tried looking toi see if it would being that I am a M6 car, and retaining the use of the factory ECM for my digital gauge cluster, it will also control an A4 still.
the opti gets completely removed as well as the factory ignition module. an MSD CDI box is required and any compatible coil for the MSD box can be used. I chose the MSD blaster coil just for ease of finding a new home in my application for it.
The Dual sync makes the DFI a 100% sequential EFI and can allow for individual cylinder fuel trimming for manifold distribution variances. and you can wash your engine..
