Got lucky (Z06 related)
Got lucky (Z06 related)
Been waiting to see if the local dealer would ever get a Z06 in. So far no luck.
So yesterday me and my father went to pick up our new work truck at a different Chevy dealer. I, while waiting for the whole transaction to go through, looked at about 6 Vettes they had there. Sadly, they told me they had sold the one Z06 they did get (for 20k over sticker at that- 92k total).
So today, I pull out of my driveway to go to work and see it. Brand spanking new, yellow Corvette go by. I see the wheels and rear brake ducts and immediately know it's a new Z06.
So I thought to myself, go to work or....follow it. I ended up following it for a 1/4 - 1/2 mile in the opposite direction of my work. Eventually got to a light by it (no, not in front and he was going left, I, right to go to work
)
Pulled beside it and just admired the beauty. The wheels from the back are just plain huge, just as I remember them from NAIAS. From the side they also look huge and fill out the fenders quite nicely. Everything about this car just looks right (including that Z06 badge
although the GM one seems tacky, like all the cars I see it on).
Just had to share with you guys because now I know that one day, I will absolutely have to get one of these. It might take a lot of time but mark my words, I will get one.
Seeing as how I was iffy on the C6 when it first came out, I have to say they couldn't have done the car any better.
And for anybody looking for good pics of the Z06, I found these and am currently using one as wallpaper.

Re: Got lucky (Z06 related)
They are nice aren't they? They really do look much better in person, not that they look bad in pix, but you can tell how the flares really muscle up the body, and the proportions just look right, something you don't really get from pix. If they made it available in Monterrey Red, I'd be a goner, or at the very least single, after the wife found out I cashed in my 401k.

All I know is I saw a Z06 at a car show last month and was amazed at how good it looked. I couldn't take my eyes off it...I just kept starring and staring and staring and couldn't stop myself...It was so good looking
I just hope the Camaro design team gets alot of inspiration from the Z06

Too bad I had to go to work or I would've followed it all day. What'd you think of it man? Pretty slick right?
