Would this adversely affect handling???

I plan on getting SFC's around Christmas time. UMI 3 pt weld-ins to be exact, (any better suggestions are welcomed ;) ). What I'm wondering is if it will actually hurt my car's handling...My car is otherwise stock and I was thinking that getting the SFC's would tighten up the car causing it understeer more on me, (at least until I got heavier sway bars). Is my logic on this correct or am I wrong? Would I be better off doing swaybars or something else first? Thanks for the advice ahead of time ;)

I think you would improve your handling more with the sway bars. Two common setups are 35mm front/21mm rear or 32mm front/19mm rear. Sam Strano sells a hollow 35mm front and a hollow 22mm rear that are nice pieces.

I realize that the sway bars would help with handling more...I'm just more concerned over whether or not putting the SFC's on an otherwise stock car would detract any from it's handling. Basically, I don't want to get the SFC's to find out that they just transformed my car into an understeering pig. The main reason I want the SFC's is to stop the squeaks and rattles and to stop the chassis from twisting during hard cornering.

You're not going to hurt it, but as mentioned, sway bars, particularly the the front with a 35mm, is going to make a much more noticeable difference.

I just recently installed SFCs on my car and they made a very nice improvement in the way the car handles.

It doesn't feel like it understeers any more than before, although I have aftermarket springs and shocks up front.
