how much HP a stock LT1 handle?

With nitrous what is the MAX shot i can put using JETFUEL on a stock lt1 engine just with simple bolt ons , headers, throttle body spacer, no AC no PS ,aluminum underdrive pulley...

This is all in a 1986 Mustang original weigh 3400lbs , but i got the weigh down to 2700lbs would i be able to make 11 with a 150shot?

Im located at a altitude of 1800meters over sea level that is 5600feet..

thanks

The heads will not flow enough to hurt the bottomend 150 shot or so is probably going to be as big as you see gains with I have seen heads/cam cars switch from 175 to 200 jets and not pick up anything in the quarter even ported heads were maxed out on flow at that point. Guys with enough head though have sucessfully sprayed more than that reliably.

so would it be a good idea to pull the off the heads and do some porting and oversize valves? ...

If going that far I would do a cam too doesn't have to be big or anything but there is room to upgrade over stock without compromising any drivability. Probably skip the oversized valves. In a light car like that just the spray might get you what you want IF you can make it hook.

I'll be spraying a 250 shot direct port for the first time on thursday, I do have LE2 heads and cam, with a 150 shot I only saw a 8mph gain.

With a good cam already taking pretty good advsantage of the heads you might not gain a thing with a 200 shot over a 150 step it up incrementally and see when the gains end. Heck the 150 might be at or beynod the point of diminishing returns already.

Yes still a 350 but has a fresh bottom end plus forged pistons. There's guy on here pulling 114-118mph traps with these heads, I doubt that a 150 shot is maxed out when I'm only trapping 108mph. Jets will be here wednesday...I'll post some new times monday when I get back from Atlanta.

i have shot a 200hp shot on a stock bottom end and it held up fine as long as you pull timing out of the computer(you need a good tuning kit)

118,000 miles and it was fine when the new motor went in!
