Saw new MC LT in person
One word...confusing. Love the front...but seeing the same sides on the new front is odd. The back, while not dramatically different, is 100% better. With the revised lenses and better logos, its way better.
The interior looked beautiful as well. I can see myself buying one...but new? We'll see...

You are now in the same group that's seen Elvis & Bigfoot. Hopefully, that will change very soon.
In pictures the car does look a bit odd, but I think it's because we've been seeing the same car for nearly a decade, as you mentioned.

I felt special. Anyway, the changes are all positive. It looks good. But I asked my co-worker who saw it with me, are the changes enough to make me want to buy it new, versus replace my GP 3-4 years from now with a 2-3 year old MC SS? I can't see spending almost $30k on an SS with all the toys to get something that looks a little dated now, and a ton dated in 3-4 years.
I'd say I was looking at my next "new" car...around '08, I'll probably grab an '06 SS. I like it a lot, but I don't LOVE it. Love will make me spend $30k. Like will make me spend $17-18k. Over the last few days, I've looked at my finances long and hard. A new car just won't happen for a long, long time...around the time a 5th gen shows up
Re: Saw new MC LT in person
Lucky. I'm still waiting for the dealers around here to get one. I'm eager to see it in person and make a judgment call on it. Maybe persuade my grandma who only drives 2 doors (how cool is that?) to think about one. She's got a 96 MC that she's had since new so maybe...
I'd like to know what will be replacing it soon enough also, as she does.

What I really, really want is a VERY fun to drive car, that can seat 5 in a pinch, has a manual trans and preferrably RWD.....and that I can occasionally autocross. And I don't want to spend much beyond 30K, either.
Out of all the cars that I look at, the one that keeps filtering to the top is, a six speed manual, BMW 325i with the sport package.
I'd love to say, I'd take a CTS over it, but by the time you get a 3.6/M6 and add the sport pkg and sunroof.....you're in the high 30's. And every pic I've seen of the 18's on the sport pkg has a chrome finish on the wheels. Gross!

The new Monte Carlo looks like Angelina Jolie's head grafted on Bea Arthur's body. If you didn't have to look at the car from the headlights back (or neck down in Bea's case) all would be fine.

Naa....I just tried to pick women I new the members of the board could associate with. For instance...I knew members you and Red Planets age would know Bea without having to think to hard....while I know the younger members such as myself and Jason E would know who Angelina Jolie is. I actually really wanted to use Aylssa Milano in here place...but I am not sure many would know who she is.
