As a current Camaro SS owner, I was all for the SS being the top model in the beginning.

But now that I see just about every Chevy car having an "SS" option...I dunno, it just kinda kills it for me.

As of right now, I will be more than happy with Z28 as the top model.

The only thing I'm worried about is the Camaro coming in weighing at 4000lbs.

I'm with ya. We need a thread like this so often to stir the pot. That or an "AWD or RWD" thread, or a "2 doors or 4 with suicide doors", or "what should RS be in the lineup"...

A three door coupe...........

.......FWD............

............weigh 6,500 pounds.............

.................have a 5 cylinder engine...............

.........be called the Z34..................

..................the base model will be an SS.............

..........it will take its styling heritage from the Aztek..........

...............and base price will be $34,000

with a $10,000 rebate.................








.........oh yeah......and each one comes with a copy of "Return to Greatness" in the glovebox.

 

It would be nice if GM would limit the SS name to truly high performance cars, but at least w/ the MC and Impala SS they've picked up the bottom end a bit (Cobalt still down there sucking, but OK).

I still don't see the Z28 as the top model though, as much as SS doesn't belong on alot of cars GM has put it on it certainly doesn't belong on some mid-level model Camaro either...

 

well.........as you can see by the above post, someone actually got into my house and hit me with the keyboard a few times.......and caused some brain damage...............
