What a coincidence.

Someone at GM needs to send me my consultation fee.

It's weird how the future can usually be predicted by the writing on the walls, is it not? I'm not going to steer this thread into a "big hunking" RWD thread but wow, lots of writing on the wall going on now.

Aaaaaaaanyway. Two V8's in Buicks stable? Hmmmmmm When does the RWD (cough) one come along?

Unless they import some version of the VE from Holden.....I'd say a very long time, if ever.

No offense, but what is with the hard-on for the entire world to go RWD? Leave Buick alone. Unless it gets a sporty coupe, there is no NEED for RWD. You want RWD in a Buick type car, pony up the bread for a Caddy.

I've never owned a FWD vehicle besides a company car Focus. I live in Michigan. I've owned 3 S10's 2 Camaro's and an 1985 LeSabre. All have sucked in the snow. Mind you, I never drove the Camaro's in the snow with their traction control.

I plan on buying a Lucerne. The criteria for why I want this car. RWD is not even on the list. Ride, comfort, quiet, looks, reliability, mileage are what matters to me, not RWD for my work car.

I already have a modded Camaro. I don't need a V8 RWD work car as well.

Where were you when I needed extra help justifying to these performance turkeys that FWD still has a purpose in life??? :D

Nice post.

I could stand to see atleast one Buick RWD. How about a Velite type of car? :)

I didn't say i woudl regect a RWD Buick, just don't think one is needed. Sure, a performance minded luxury coupe should be RWD.

If buick is to ever have a car more powerfull than 303HP they really need RWD.

I don't think this picture is of a LaCrosse Super. Lucerne Super maybe:

A V8 in a LaCrosse would be sweet though. I never understood why Chevy and Pontiac got the 5.3, and Buick has a 3.6 for the same price or more! I said it before...the 3.6 should be the base engine (or 3.9 VVT at least...maybe it will be for '07??), with the 5.3 optional.

Although, for Buick...wouldn't a N* or its pending replacement be more appropriate?
