Fastbird93 10-18-2005, 10:24 PM Hardtops were the norm in 93. I don't know exact numbers or anything, but on the Trans Am side of things there were only about 800 T-Top cars produced.
fasteddie94 10-18-2005, 10:38 PM I gotta book with these figures for the math wizzes. I don't have a calc and suck at math so it states of the 68,773 camaros that were built 4.1% had t tops. Hope that helps.
anaik 10-18-2005, 11:13 PM Camaro White Book says 3340 had the CC1 option. (Roof panels, removable glass)
n2ceptor 10-19-2005, 11:17 AM T-tops didnt come out until '94, to my knowledge.....:)
Bob5150 10-19-2005, 11:21 AM I don't understand how GM made such a big deal about the 350 motor and T-tops for the third generation, and not for the 4th. You couldn't order the 350 with T-tops (for the most part, anyway), because they said that the motor had so much torque, it would damage the tops, or something along those lines.
Then, the 4th gen comes out, and Z28's, Formula's, and Trans-Am's, almost all of them had T-tops. How come the sudden change? Was it because the new bodystyle held up better to all the torque, or what?

never heard that, I know of several factory 350 cars with factory t-tops
you sure you are not thinking of manual transes?

Perhaps you're thinking of the convertible, which wasn't available untill '94. :)

I know about the manual transmissions, but I always thought you supposedly couldn't get T-tops with a 350, because the engine's torque would twist the body too much for the T-tops to withstand. Cause I always wondered how that "rule" suddenly dissapeared when the 4th Gens came out. I read that somewhere, I think on a 3rd gen site. I guess I was wrong.

oneqwkfbody 10-25-2005, 07:35 PM anaik...is that 3340 z28's with t tops or 3340 z28's AND v6's that came with t tops?
i always thought the z28s had a lower production number of t tops?? does the white book specify if thats z28's vs 3.4's?

I didn't think of that. The book says '93 Factory Options, so I would assume all Camaro's.
oneqwkfbody 10-25-2005, 07:53 PM yeah thats what i thought. i was hoping i had a kinda rare car,...i know its just a 93z28 with t tops..but i wanna know how many were made still?!

I have:
Camaro Coupe 21,253
Camaro Z28 Coupe 17,850
Only 19 1LE's, now that would be rare.
NYLT1Z28 11-01-2005, 12:42 PM as far as the t-tops and the tourq thing didnt camaro put a tourq arm on the 4th gen that stiffined the suspension

??
all camaros since 82 had a torque arm, t-top cars had nothing different suspension wise, might have had a little more bracing in the roof
