AC quit suddenly

This afternoon I got in the car and the AC quit blowing cool air. I scanned it and no trouble codes, the ac clutch engages and you can hear the compressor doing it's thing but no cold air. Both of the lines are the same temp. I know there is 134A in it or the sensor wouldn't let the compressor come on. Any ideas? (at least it's October now!)

if it just stoped either the compresser froze up or just took a **** on you. Pop your hood and see if you can turn the compress or by hand,not the part the belt rides on but the acual clutch for the a/c compressor, if you can I say you have a leak somewhere in the system and finnaly lost enought to not allow the freon the expand and contract enought to get a good pressure change from the evap core to the condensor.

I think it is compressor failure unrelated to lockup. The clutch engages and the compressor turns but there isn't the slightest difference between the high and low pressure lines. If there were no freon (like it acts), the compressor would not turn on at all. I'v been suspicous of the compressor for a long time. On really hot days when stopped in traffic, it would build up so much head pressure that it would start to clank.
