What do you guys use for a Switched power source? or amp
Re: What do you guys use for a Switched power source? or amp
I dont think i fully understand what your talking about. Usually, you hook up the remote power antenna wire (blue) behind your HU, to the remote on the amp. So when the HU turns on, your amp turns on.
Or you can hook up the remote on the amp to your accessory wire near your ignition, or find it behind your HU.
Or you can hook up a toggle swith directly from your battery, to your toggle switch, to your amp.
Im not sure if im helping, like i said, i dont fully understand your question. Alohaz.

he's right...need more specifics....... if factory head unit, use the ignition wire behind the radio. it is the dark green wire in the harness. there is going to be two dark green wires....it is the one in the top left of the plug next to the orange wire. make sure that you fuse the connection. better to be safe than sorry. if it is an aftermarket radio, use the blue/white wire. this is the amp turn on wire. the blue wire is power anttena.....this will turn on the the amp when the radio is playing, but shut the amp down soon as you play a tape or cd.(which ever one you have.)
