Driver seat modification?

Hey all,

I have been out of the F body scene for just over a year since I sold my modded 94 A4 Z the day before I got married. Well, just two days ago (without the old lady's permission) I picked up a clean 99 SS M6 (just couldn't resist) and got rid of my lifted 2001 Z71 Silverado. Needless to say...she wasn't very happy...at all. Anyway while she's not talking to me I have been turning to my newly acquired SS for comfort and support but noticed something...It seems that my 94Z had a little more leg room than my 99 SS. I think this is because of the fact that I have a clutch taking up the extra space that I did have with my 94 A4. I'm kind of tall 6'4" and I would like just a little more room. So..this may be a stupid question but has anyone heard of a clean simple way of relocating the driver seat an inch or two back? I'm going to attempt this mod in the near future as was wondering if this has been ever successfully accomplished. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Billy

fab up some brackets....

four sperate 2-3"X1/2" steel tabs with holes drilled in each end. find bolts that have the same thread pattern as the the stock seat nuts (or anything that will work) insert through one side and WELD into place. Then simply insert the factory bolts up from the floor through the other opening in your newly made tabs....voila, factory style brackets that are moved back a little

Drill new mounting holes in the seat bracket if there is room.

I'm going to see if there is enough room.

Thanks

We had to fab new brackets for the pos race seats I had put in the car. Worked out great but nobody can sit behind me. I'm 6'6"
