Since we pay for our avatars

Can we get 100x100? Or possibly a slightly larger file size? :)

Everytime I try to take a picture to use, I end up not being able to use it unless I turn the quality way down, or filter out the quality in Infranview. And then, your avatar looks like a fuzzy blob and you can't use it.

For now, send it to me and I will fix it.

I've never ever had significantly better results using PS for CZ28.com avatars than Irfan view... irfan is badass for the simple stuff IMO.

While I understand that a 100x100 av takes almost twice the file size and squared space on the board that a 75x75 av does, I've had quite a few avs that I loved that simply were NOT legible at 75x75 but were easily at 100x100, I think that could make a very big difference assuming it wouldn't make a very significant impact on the hosting bills.

Especially with the fact that supporting membership has something like doubled or tripledm, silently, in price from its initial price to its current price, I figure there could be a benefit increase in there somewhere as well.:p

I know I'd like to see 100x100. :) That would be cool. My supporting member status is coming due for renewal soon I think, there should be a 100x100 package or something. :D 75x75 could be a budget package. ;)

Jason, not to highjack the thread, but those wheels are BADASS, do you have any other pics of them on the car?????

Yeah I'd like 100x100 also. Another board I admin at has avatars at 100x100.

And I tried a thousand pictures in Irfanview for my avatar, and I couldn't get any that came out small enough and legible enough to use. I had to ask someone on the board to do it for me with some other program.

+1 for 100x100.

Hell, I'll even take 1,000x1,000.

As far as the 100x100 suggestion, it is noted. Thanks guys!

But the 1,000x1,000 suggestion wasn't noted? Man, this biased site sucks.

Let's wait until the average computer screen is running a native res of at least ~12000x6750 before we consider something like that.:p

I hope that I don't even run this site by the time that happens. I think I will be old or dead by then.

LOL... well honestly I think by that point screens won't even have resolutions defined in traditional pixels. I think it will be much more dynamic than that. And you'll have to host most forums with a straight 1gbps/up FO (or similar) connection.:D

1. You will always run this site.
2. You're already old.

If this happened, I would think about possibly considering getting the ball rolling on attempting to seriously ponder getting a supporting member dealie. ;)

Yes, this would definitely be cool and would guarantee more people joining as Supporting Members. ;)

Wow thats a crisp avatar, can you fix mine too? :D Also i was wondering (sorry still kinda new) why we can't have pics in our sigs, i used to be a moderator at rx7club.com & rx8club.com and we were poor but still managed to keep IMG option on, is it a bandwith issue?

Last I recall I thought we could do gif avatars just as long as they weren't annoyingly distracting. That one would be have to be converted to lower res, though, to fit. And furthermore they really have to be a lot shorter animation than that to fit within the 5k limit.
