im giong from my stock front 17x9 zr1s with 275 40 17 tires to 15x5 3 1/2 backspace drag lites with a 165 80 15 kuhmo still not sure if i need a spacer in front rather not use spacers.and im giong from my afs zr1 17x11 to 15x8 5.5 back space out back with a 275 50 15 i was thinking a 15x10 but theres no piont unless ill put slicks they only make street drag tires close to 26' 275 50 15 so i can keep stock hieght.i wanted a tire as wide as my 315s the 275 are only 1 inch less tred that hits ground so not to bad.i will be ordering the fronts first should get buy end of week after i sell my 17x11 with 3 month old bfg ta drags ill buy back setup.Anyone have this set up ?how was fit?did you have to use spacer in front? how much grinding ive been trying to prepare myself.pictures thanks ill let you guys know how it works out!!

The spacer is required, no matter what the backspace is. Its the center disc of the wheel that hits the spring clips that hold the pads in the caliper, and the "radius" where the center disc rolls over to become the rim that catches on the big horizontal bar on the steering knuckle, that the caliper and pads rest on.

You can try them without the spacers, but I suspect they will still hit.
