Buying New All-season tires

OK folks Im on the fence here. I need an all season tire b/c until next year my TA is the daily driver. Im leaning towards Pirelli Pzero Nero especially with Discount Tire Direct having a $50 rebate on them. Also considering the Continental Extreme contacts, BFG KDWS, and maybe the Kumho ASX. I have read enough good things on all to buy, but there is also enough bad reviews on each to make me hesitant. The BFG seems to be good but horrible wear, I have Kumho 712 now (good tire lasted nearly 40k but the last 10k has been less than fun in rain and any hard turn I swing my rear out). The Continental seems to be a solid tire but not great performance. Seems the Pirellis are the best of all worlds. Basically looking for a few people to say the Pirellis are good tires or say the others are better. Thanks.

I'm buying my 3rd set on Friday.

These tires do EVERYTHING well. I average about 24,000 out of the first two sets with regular rotations and proper pressure. You probably won't find a Z-tire that'll last more than 30,000.

First of all....... where are you located???? It would be helpful to have that in your profile or sig.

Secondly, if you have to deal with snow and ice - I could only recommend a proper set of winter tires. I used my Z28 as a daily-driver until recently, and that meant driving 60+ miles a day, regardless of the road conditions. I would not do that without my Bridgestone Blizzaks.

I live in Kansas where I will see a couple days of snow driving a year. So a dedicated snow tire is a lil overkill. But I do need to be able to drive in light snow occasionally this winter thats the reason for the new tires-that and my current ones are bald. You guys have any other opinions about selecting tires?

I've been running the P Zero Nero's for about 8 months now and I love 'em. Didn't get any snow last winter, so I can't help you there. They are good in the rain and don't tramline w/ a good alignment.

Pzero fan here... i am actually looking for a new set also... ive had the pzeros for about 21k, but i hit on them pretty hard. They were GREAT for the first 18k miles, i have two on rear. and 2 continental conti extremes on the front, which i must say i will also do again for wear/grip. i have never had a front end as tight as this ws6 with those tires, it would take a HARDDDD break to even trigger the ABS. but now that i have gone through 1 pair of pirellis pretty much the last 3k miles were a little scary on the highway and a killer this winter with the salt/bryne on the road...

i took them to the track once, and managed to Toast my 10 bolt with them, that was exciting.

but all in all i say thumbs ups! and im pretty sure with reading the current reviews on tire rack and here, that i am goign to get another set of them in the spring.
