'04 Cobra Vert vs. '95Z
My cousin and I always talk about racing each other.
We finally got the opportunity on Friday night. I went over to his house to install his 2.81" pulley and we went out for a couple of rolls.
He's got a borla catback, steeda CAI and 2.81" pulley and tune.
First race we started out at around 70kph (40mph) on the highway. I was in third gear and three honks we nailed it. He immediately pulled a car on me since I spun a little and gained another up to 220 kph (130mph). He was really suprised that I kept up to him that well. Me too considering his hp advantage.
The second race we headed off the highway and did a 50kph (30mph) roll. I spun bad and kept on it and he ended up pulling only a car on me up to 200 kph (120mph).
His car is a convertable weighing it around 3900-4000lbs. I am stock weight except for spare tire and jack removed. I just wish we raced when his car didn't have the pulley on. Would have been a different outcome by far. I can't wait 'till I charge my car and there will be a round 2.

Yeah those Terminators really respond to mods. We put the stock pulley on again and programmed the stock tune today and the car feels like a dog now. What a difference. The 2.81" pulley went back on right away. The low end torque is really amazing with those Eaton blowers. With all the mods I have in my car, there really isn't a contest mod to mod.
Re: '04 Cobra Vert vs. '95Z
I do have stock gears. On the first run I probably should have started in 2nd gear. I am more used to drag racing that on highway. The second run I started in 2nd and did alot better.
Re: '04 Cobra Vert vs. '95Z
Good deal, I just raced my first cobra tonight as well... I had 2 car lengths on him after 130mph. I had to get off at my exit so I didnt go any faster. You will be able to take him once ya get some more mods.
Re: '04 Cobra Vert vs. '95Z
You need to atleast give yourself a chance to win. With stock gears you should have been in 2nd gear in the first race and 1st gear in the second race, although you probably need a dr to start in first gear with your mods.

Drag radials is high on my list, most likely the MT Radials. Won't get them until I have a 12 bolt or 9".
Kreinmc, I don't think I would have had enough gear in the second race if I started out in 1st.
