From that site:

very rare WS6-only 3-spoke car rims - 'salad shooters'
They were only available for 2000 Pontiac Firebirds model year as a special selection on a build sheet, and by some estimates, only 1-5% of all 2000 WS6 models had them.

Sometimes these rims go by the name Salad Shooters.

door rpo code
Pontiac Firebirds fitted with these rims have RPO door code: N66.

From that site:

That is indeed a certain style of T/A rim, but not WS6. Are they 17"? If not, fake.

This is the 3rd WS6 I've had (2 LT1's, 1 LS1) and I've NEVER seen those, even on a Firehawk.

I've seen those on a Pontiac Bonneville before.

There's a REASON those WS6 rims are rare. I'll leave figuring out what the reason is to your own interpretation. :D

Would it be because it is the same kind of rare as well... Pintos and Gremlins?

Those are definitely genuine, rare, FACTORY 2000 WS6 17x9.0" wheels. For a bit of info, take a look at this 2000 road test article from Motor Trend magazine. As I recall, this wheel was only offered on very early models, and was replaced part way into the model year by the more common WS6 wheel.

I remember seing these rims in the Trans Am brochure for 2000. Never seen them in person though.

Very rare indeed.

A couple years ago, I saw those wheels on a black WS6 at the dealership. They sold the car to a local guy and I saw the car a couple months later with diffrent wheels on it. I'm willing to bet the reason he changed the wheels wasn't because they were rare.

spinners? i don't think so.

I believe the pontiac aztec has a very similar design......works better than on an F-Body....probably why they produced so few.

Rare does not always equal desirable. In which case, they aren't worth much. There are all sorts of "rare" things, but if nobody wants it, it isn't worth crap. I would rank these in that category. Fugly comes to mind when looking at them.

I'm sure vintage polyester leisure suits are pretty "rare" today also. :D

There's a set with tires for sale on E-bay... pretty cheap too, only wanting $425 plus shipping. I would almost buy them just for the 'rarity' factor just in case one of these years someone was willing to pay a little chunk of change for them for some unknown reason. I wouldn't put them on my ride, least not for very long. :)

Kind of funny how similar that guys blow out at 50mph looks to the blowout I had a couple of weeks ago doing 70mph :D http://www.supahrich.com/blowntire.jpg , poor GS-D3 :(:(:(
