Some guy i know upgraded his gears from 3.23 to 3.73 and wants to sell me his 3.23. the car was a 2002 z28 with the GU5 option. my question is can i use these and what will i need. he showed me two pieces, the round ring with teeth and the middle shaft looking part. i have a stock 93 z28. thanks.

 

Considering gears are a relatively big job to do, you might as well get new ones that are a higher ratio. Most will reccommend 3.73 for auto and 4.10 for manual. Do some reading around and you'll find what you're looking for, but to answer your question directly, you'll need the ring and pinion gears and a good install kit like the ones from Thunder Racing.
