Hom much advance does computer have???

Just trying to make sure my total advance is where it needs to be. Right now I am at 6* BTDC..........What would be my final timing number when computer gets done????

A factory '89 chip has about 35* total advance I think. The ARAP.bin chip had 48* total advance...

You have an Ed Wright chip.... who knows.

You do not need to know that unless you are hearing pinging that doesn't seem to go away. I believe on my first burn from www.fasterproms.com it was a little too low then we cranked it up on the second burn and it was too high because I got greedy. After that, we tuned it down and it just stopped so I had it tuned down a degree or two to keep it that way. The KS is just a safety not something we rely on all day to keep it on the ragged edge. In my case, if I were curious, I'd ask the burner person.

I read an article about my Crate 350 HO and it said timing would be perfect from 34* to 36*....I am not pinging right now (I was at 10* but went down 4 notches to be safe) at 6*...Like you said "do not be greedy" :D
