Lean hesitation on '95 LT1 turbo

I've been trying to fix this for some time now. When I tip in the throttle abruptly, the engine consistently stumbles, even backfires. The wideband shows a spike up to ~18/1 A/F ratio instantaneously. I have 84 lb/hr low impedence injectors and the Acceleronics impedence converter. The car runs fine otherwise. Any ideas?

have you tried tuning in the VE tables in those areas? Prehaps add more fuel in the higher KPA regions where your experencing the tip in problem
