What does the 53mm offset ZR1 look like?kick Z tail out 09-24-2005, 12:56 PM Anyone have pics of a 53mm offset ZR1 on their car? I don't want the wheels to stick out at all or sit funny... Injuneer 09-24-2005, 05:21 PM Not sure..... AFS make replicas in: 17x9.5" 56mm 17x9.5" 38mm 17x11" 50mm 17x11" 36.5mm Which width are you talking about? kick Z tail out 09-24-2005, 05:56 PM Hmmm..... The site I was looking at said it had 17x9.5 replicas, and it said 53mm offset. I wasn't sure if that sounded right. Screw it... I give up trying to find deals. What is the standard 17x9.5 ZR1 that came on the Camaro SS? That's how I want mine. 38mm, right? Injuneer 09-25-2005, 03:31 PM The Camaro SS did not have a 17x9.5" wheel.... they were only 17x9" and had a 50mm offset. From what I have seen, a 9.5" wide wheel will fit best with an offset in the range of 45-56mm. The cars I've seen with 35mm and 38mm offsets have the tires right at the edge of the wheel opening, or even slightly outside. That leaves your 1/4-panels open to sandblasting from all the crap coming off the wheels. 45mm tucks them in very slightly, and 56mm still looks OK, in my opinion. But its strictly a matter of which "look" you like. kick Z tail out 09-25-2005, 03:57 PM The Camaro SS did not have a 17x9.5" wheel.... they were only 17x9" and had a 50mm offset. What is the offset in the 17x9.5" SLP ZR1/BFG wheel and tire package that everyone sells? Happen to know or have a guess? Here's hoping it's 45mm... I guess I should call and hope they have someone that can tell me. :) http://www.lmperformance.com/2398/2.html I want them to tuck, I don't like when they're flush with the wheel opening... It doesn't look quite right IMO. kick Z tail out 09-26-2005, 04:55 AM Hey Fred, which offset does this *look* like to you? http://www.porteighty.biz/uploads/rc140005.jpg That's one of my friends' cars... But I can't ask him what he bought because he's on deployment. I don't think he purposely went looking for any particular offset, he just bought these from some company that was selling on eBay knowing that they'd 'work' on a Camaro. Whatever those look like, that's the way I'd like mine to sit. Injuneer 09-26-2005, 01:30 PM Looks sort of stock. This is a 49mm: http://cjcfo.fbody.com/members/injuneerzz@aol.com/PhotosD/210Full02a.jpg http://cjcfo.fbody.com/members/injuneerzz@aol.com/PhotosD/3_4View.jpg http://cjcfo.fbody.com/members/injuneerzz@aol.com/PhotosD/FullView.jpg 56mm will move them in a shade over 1/4" | ||
