Conv. top

My vert. top just stopted going down this weekend at foodlion auto fair :( I got it back up, is this a hard fix? any help is welcoe thanx.

Depends if it's a hydraulic problem or not. My top stopped going down because the contacts in the switch broke. If it's just that not too hard to fix.

Take a look at the pump while someone is pressing the button. One time this happened and it was just a screw loose which caused the motor to turn freely so that it wouldnt move the top up or down.

My top problem was a bad switch as well. If you can't get it fixed in the near future, you can turn the lever on the hyd. pump to disengage the pump and the top will move much easier.

The manual valve is in the trunk, left side, under a flap in the "carpet".

It doesn't fix your problem, but it will make it easier to maually raise and lower until fixed.
