Anybody work/have a hook up at any furniture stores?

Im gonna be moving outta my parents house at the end of this month. Im really wanting to pick up a new bed set. I went and checked out prices this early this week and for a decent mattress alone are close to 800$. (this was art van though) Im just looking to see if anyone has any pull somewhere that could help. Let me know.

If you go to Art Van on Hall see Dillion. Tell him Gene and Eleonora sent you. He is a friend of ours. He might be able to help you out..... Or just call him at the store.

Cory,

Sorry - I called there and he quit 2 months ago. Seriously look at Costco - my wife's friend got a King size for 6XX.xx - Closeout

We bought my son's bedroom furniture at Furniture Express on 14 mile (black guy - really nice - I think Chuck). We skipped the financing and they took like 10% off. Oh and we had to take immediate delivery.

The local paper that comes around every week should have some in there. I always see a lot of them in ours.

Re: Anybody work/have a hook up at any furniture stores?

I have furnished a several homes and apts from the JC Penney furniture outlet in Toledo.

They sell dent & scratch stuff and special orders that were never picked up at prices substantially lower than any of the furniture stores around here.

It's name brand stuff too, not el cheapo crap. I would compare it to Art Van furniture usually below Value City prices (if that makes any sense).

I picked up a 7 piece leather sectional for 1500. The furniture stores were asking closer to 6k for something comparable. My china cabinet was 600 and the cheapest I found it elsewhere was 1600. It had a small chip in a trim piece.

The warehouse is about the size of a football field. They have all kinds of furnishings and the inventory is constantly changing. My last King pillow top mattress was $325 because it had some dirt on the side where the new plastic covering got torn.

It's a bit of a drive but worth it IMO. There are actually 2 outlets. One is off the first Ohio exit (Alexis Rd) on the corner of Lansky and Jackman. The other is a little farther away.

I have taken a few people down there with me and they keep going back too.

If you go, take a truck because you will more than likely want to buy something and they won't deliver to SE Michigan.
