No. 93-97 LT1s have different front and rear rotors than the 98-02 LS1s. Yes, you will need 98+ (aka LS1 rotors...and other parts) if you're planning to installing into an LT1 car.

What you're talking about is an LS1 brake upgrade. Try a search for this and you'll see plenty of posts about what parts are needed, how to do the upgrade, and where to buy used/new parts.

98+ are 12 inch. 93-97 are 10.5 inch

dude, first off, ROTOR...not rotar. secondly, ebay would probably be the best bet (unless you know someon who owns a junk yard) for the complete setup for the 98+ brake upgrade. it comes with the rotors, calipers, spindles, even the bearings. just take off the spindle as a whole from your lt1 car and put on the spindle as a whole from the 98+ car. really simple. but you're going to need an alignment if you do so.

the 98+ unit costs about 150-300, depending on where you go and who wants them at the time (ebay usually gets about 200). but if you want some real brakes there is the 97+ corvette brake upgrade that is fairly cheap for what you get. mounting brackets, pads, pad brackets, hoses, all for about 600-700 from lgmotorsports.com (98+ section, brakes). i would suggest this if you want better brakes. yeah it's overkill, but i think it's necessary overkill with these cars. especially if you plan on doing any serious power upgrades on the car.

so when my girlfriend converts her 95 V6 to 98+ discs, she just needs the front spindles, and the rear axle assembly? we found a 98+ V6 already

she's also wanting a posi diff and lower gears...we can do that seperately

is the master cyl the same?? what about the rear brake lines??

all you need to change is the spindles, you dont need anything esle. there are so many threads on this...

if you want to get a posi rear, you'll have to pull it off a z or forumla/ta. they came from the factory. if she has an auto and wants some serious torque, get the rear from a manual car. 3.42 gears are awesome for a auto car.

If you want to do the rear brakes you will need to get the axles out of a 98+ car. If you can find 93-97 rear disc brakes just get them as they are just as good as the 98+
