denton county minor in possession costs?

I just got a mip. It is my first offense and i was wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation. If so how much was it and what all did you have to do. Im 20 and in college in denton.

never had one myself but most of my friends have had one or other drinking violations. the fines usually arent that bad and you have to go to a couple saturday classes couple AA meetings and some comunity service. the service usually depends on the judge.

If you cant afford the fine, ask to do community service, and ask the judge if there is something you can do so it will not get on your record, since it is your first offence.. Some jobs these day do background checks on their employees...

I got one here in Galveston a few years back and it ran me about 300$ in fines and about another 150$ in AA class. And this got me differed adjudication and my licsense wasnt suspended.

oh and i also had 8 hrs community service. but I dropped the guy at goodwill 20$ to just pass me through

I got one years ago, took the ticket to a traffic ticket lawyer, he took care of it for $50.00. It may be harder these days to get that ticket dismissed but it worked for me back then.
