Went to the track tonight for the first time after my mods. beat a 99 TA and a new STI WRX, by inches i might add. lost to a mach 1 with gears, a couple of cobras as well. Best time was a 14.6 @101.
I know the times are bad but there are reasons for that, mostly me. i baby it slightly off the line so as not to wear down my clutch (already acting up), also, no grip with the pilots, and im not used to racing at a track, and a pretty high elevation. The fastest cobra was running a 13.9, i think my car is capable of much less than that with me not as the driver maybe. anyway thats all i have.

if the cobra guy can drive you must be WAY up there. what elevation?

If you baby it off the line and spin a little you should still be able to be <13.8 at sealevel. Much lower.

The elevation here is ~ 4662 feet. Pretty high. I think the actual track may be a few hundred high, because you can overlook the whole town from there. anyway, im not as dissapointed since i know my car is capable of alot more.
also, i spun alot even babying it. I need drag radials, but then again i dont want to fry my clutch or break an axle. i never really go to the track often, and alot of my races occur on a deserted highway, and i usually do rather well. Races go from a roll alot too, and with the new cam, first gear at about 3k is KILLER power.
