This doesn't happen everytime, but sometimes when I go to the advanced search feature and click on "search now" the database or whatever won't resolve...it'll just sit there acting like it's trying to do something but never actually search for anything. I dunno if this is a problem for anyone else or just me, but it's quite annoying.

Well I tried it on another computer and had the same problem...
It seems to be more prevelant when I do a "search for threads started by user" search.

I have not been able to re-create the problem. Searching seems to work for me just fine, I just basically every kind of search possible.
Are you sure it is just this site?

it's happened to me before, actually yesterday when I searched for posts started by myself. I thought it was just taking forever, but I went upstairs and got a drink and came back and it was still "stuck". I hit refresh and it worked right away.

I've had the site be non-responsive altogher, not just or not typically just the search feature. But that's just part of it being a website.
The thing I have noticed is that the posts are not chronologically ordered very often. In other words if I search for all threads with posts by a particular member or with a particular keyword and say the first 20 I see were all from the last 24 hours, it's very likely that the last 4 to 24 hours worth of posts will be in an old chronological order even if many of them in the middle have new replies and many at the top haven't had any in hours.
It's really not that big of a deal, but it didn't used to be like that until 6-8 months ago IIRC. :)
