Looking for LT Pacesetters Headers for '99 LS-1

I was wondering where is the cheapest place to buy some ceramic coated
LT Pacesetter for my '99 30th T.A. I was at the Berger Chevy Labor Day
and I talked to a guy who had some on his SS and he had the GMMG exhaust
(I have the GMMG exhaust also) and it sounded real good. He told me the price and how easy the installation was. I want the C.C. and the Y pipe.
I want to find out where is the cheapest place to buy the whole complete package. What all do I need to know that comes with the LT headers. Do you know how much a muffler shop will cost for labor. I want to have a muffler shop put it on because I work alot of hours a day. I know some may say get Hookers, SLP, or FLP but I don't want to spend that kinda money. I don't drive my car that much a year. I think I only drove it 2 times this year and maybe put 50 miles on it and I never ever drove it the rain. Thanks! :)

Find any place that sells them and just have them do a price match.

Good luck finding a muffler shop brave enough to do this, especially if you dont plan on putting cat converters back on.

Maybe you can find a local board member who's done it before?

Do I need the cats also? How much do you think a muffler shop usually
charge in labor for header installation? The Texas store has a good price on their Pacesetters LT headers because I was wanting to pay 400-$500 for headers and Y- pipe. Thanks!

Ls1 header install isnt too difficult (compared to the LT1 anyway)..Your probably looking at 300-400$...Look for a shop that does it w/ a set price, not some clown that will give you an estimate then rape you after the install...If your state runs emmisions than i would run cats if not then its your choice

Go with the flow with Flowtech.

they are basically the same header...same coating...

go with which ever one you can get cheaper...watch the group purchase forum for sales.
someone is always doing a sale on headers or a double-online-discount sale.

remember christmas (and winter in general ie...mod time) is coming...sales will be a-plenty

What's the difference between ceramic coating and armor plate coating on the Pacesetter LT headers? Which one do you prefer? Will there be a very noticeable seat-in-the-pants HP gain? How much HP do headers give you?

A good 15HP is average and try to find stainless steel ones they will last you.If money is not an issue go with KOOKS.

Will I need some type of tune after the installation of the headers? What
all do I need to do? Will it effect my car in anyway without a tune? Do I need
like the Hypertech hand held tuner or something like the LS 1 edit or HP
tune? I want to install them at a muffler shop but I want to know what all I need to buy before I buy the LT Pacesetters and the Y-pipe.

With headers you won't need a tune.

Robvas is right. It is something like a 30,000 fine to the a muffler shop if they get busted for removing cats. You will likely see signs in the shop saying not to ask about removing the cats under penalty of law...

I think TSP was running a sale just a little bit ago with $700 for Pacesetters w/ CC and catted Y.

You may.

When my friend installed his Pacesetters and ORY w/no cats, the fumes afterwards were killing him, so he got a tune which corrected that.
