I would like to change the gears in my SS. I was thinking of 4.11 gears. What do you guys think. My goal is to get the car as close to the elevens as possible without spending a lot of money. So far I have done the following mods, SLP Lid w/ SLP Bellow, Flowmaster muffler, 125 wet shot of nitrous and it is a m6. I did lower the car so I don't know if that will hurt times or not. I was thinking with the gears and the nitrous I may come close to my goal. I ran 14.0 flat in the 1/4 when i first bought the car. Let me know what you think.....

Some 4.10's would be good also since you've lowered the car look into some lower control arms and lower control arm relocation brackets. You will have alot of wheel hop from the car being lowered and proabably alot of spin if you go with 4.10's. What kind of tires do you have? Make sure you have some good traction tires also and baby the launch if your still running your stock 10bolt rear end. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

i have 4.10's in my m6 and i love them...i bought a ta girdle to stregnthen the gm rear, just for precaution. As far as buying better tires, i have nitto's (not the drag radials) and i can spin when i want to, but as long as you are not going hard on it, you are ok...just keep your foot out of it for regular driving. if you have any questions hit me up

Get the gears for sure. It was by far one of my best mods, but you will be spinning the tires. If you are running 14.0 i think traction may already be an issue for you . Look into getting drag radials as well.

Oh yeah traction is a big problem for me. I spin through 3 gears everytime I try to race. I need to get some good tires, I am thinking of the Nitto 555r's.

not a bad idea to add a poly torque arm bushing to the list of mods to prevent wheelhop.
the LCAs and brackets will help alot.
