Anyone ever paint their rotors?

Hey has anyone ever painted there rotors?? So there not rust colored?? I was thinking of taking mine off and sanding them a little then taping up the area where the brake touches and painting the center black. I figured if any paint got on to where the brake touches it would wear off when I start driving around. What do you guys think???

Done it and yes it'll wear off very quickly where the pad is.

I usually try to paint the hub part of the rotor and then i usually paint in the Veins to keep it from getting real rusty there. I say do it, just don't paint where the pad rubs.

Again, I got paint all over where the pads contact. It wears off very quickly. This allows all non contact areas to be coated so you don;t get rust anywhere. Just use your old pads to get the paint off then switch them out.

Yeah if you have spare pads then thats probably ok. I just wouldn't want to glaze over my new pads with bunch of paint and junk. I'm sure in time it would all wear back off but its not something i would want to use my new pads for.

The only part you should paint is what "Z95m6" is talking about. The fin's and the center where it bolts to the hub. I'm actually painting mine this weekend and maybe I can show some pics later this week.

Actually the part near the edge and a section out from the hub where pads do not contact will rust if not painted also. The easiest way to do this is the way I did.
